The McLean County Museum of History Photo - The copper dome of the old McLean County Courthouse after its restoration in 2002. The Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois presented the Outstanding Restoration Award to McLean County for the restoration efforts in 2005.
The McLean County Museum of History traces its roots back to 1892, the year the McLean County Historical Society was founded. Located on the Museum Square in downtown Bloomington, the award winning museum is nationally accredited and has five permanent galleries and two rotating galleries.
