STD Wizard
Prior to your clinic visit, it may be helpful to complete this five-minute questionnaire . The responses to this short questionnaire recommend what specific sexually transmitted diseases you should be tested for. At the end of the questionnaire you will have the option of printing out your results. Print and bring the results with you to a visit with a health care provider or the McLean County Health Department STD clinic.
Herpes Testing
Genital herpes testing is now available for a fee of $17. This fee cannot be waived . A nurse must assess prior to testing to assure that an adequate specimen can be collected. See the below picture for what must be present to collect. The health department cannot provide treatment if your test comes back positive. You will be referred to your healthcare provider for follow-up care and treatment.
