The McLean County Functional Needs Registry is a program set up to help individuals with special needs during an emergency situation. The program is a voluntary registration by county residents with functional needs to help local emergency responders during an emergency with
planning and preparedness, so they know in advance who needs extra assistance.

The registry is 100 percent safe to sign up. Only emergency personnel will be able to see the information provided by county residents. The purpose is to help residents with functional needs get the assistance they need during a weather disaster or some other local emergency.

Qualifications

The Functional Needs Registration Form documents the needs of people with physical, mental or medical limitations due to impaired vision, hearing or mobility. Language barriers also qualify to be documented through the Functional Needs Registry. Registration is free. Information provided to the registry will be kept confidential and will only be shared with emergency personnel to offer assistance in response to an emergency. The Functional Needs Registry database is owned and maintained by the McLean County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).

The Functional Needs Registry is a program developed by the Access and Functional Needs Advisory Panel (AFNAP) of McLean County in coordination with McLean County Health Department and McLean County EMA. AFNAP over the years has consisted of many local agencies such as Show Bus, American Red Cross of the Heartland, OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, PATH and the McLean County Emergency Management Agency.
