Child Abuse Education and Prevention

Child Abuse Education and Prevention

Working with our community to educate one another about child sexual abuse is part of our mission. The McLean County Children’s Advocacy Center has two staff members that are trained facilitators of the Darkness to Light: Stewards of Children child sexual abuse prevention training program. This program is designed specifically for an adult audience to learn the 5 Steps to Protecting Children. This 2-hour training course will be offered in 2023 to teach the public the warning signs of child sexual abuse and ways to react responsibly.

Trainings are typically groups of 20 or fewer people. There is no fee for this training.

2023 Classes will be held at the Children's Advocacy Center located at 200 W. Front Street, Room 500-E, Bloomington, IL, 61701 or at the Livingston County location at 308 E. Torrance Avenue, Pontiac, IL 61764.

Call (309) 888-5656 to reserve your spot. Reservations REQUIRED.
