Effective 12/31/13, a referendum was passed by voters in McLean County to place the duties of the Recorder's office into the office of the County Clerk. Soon after, a survey went out to Recording Division customers. The results: 100 surveys came back. On a scale of 1-5, with “5” being the best, the average “Service” rating was 4.43, and the average “Search Site” rating was 4.20.

We sent out a similar survey in July 2017 to those in our database who utilize the Recording Division, asking them to give us a “Service” rating on a scale of 1-5, and soliciting their comments. Surveys are still coming in, and so far, we have an average “Service” rating of 4.76 (with "5" being the best). Many customers were effusive in their praise. We will continue to update the results as more surveys come back. Mark Bounds, Director of Recording, has eight years’ experience in the Recording Division. He and the Clerk review all the survey responses for ideas on improvements, so that we can better serve our customer base in the future. View the 2017 survey (PDF)!
