About the Program
The Genetic Education and Follow-Up Services program is funded by the
Illinois Department of Public Health and provides access to genetic services to families with concerns about inherited conditions.
The program works to educate Family Case Management clients about genetic risks. Those with risks identified through newborn screening or family history are referred for genetic counseling.
