Family Division

Functions

The Family Division of the office is responsible for processing all dissolution of marriage, adoption, juvenile, paternity, and child support cases. Civil orders of protection are also filed in this division.

Please note: Adoption records and all juvenile case types are impounded pursuant to state law and are not public record. 

Making Copies of Public Records

The remaining case types are public record and may be inspected during regular business hours. Photocopies of court records are subject to the following fees per case (as established by state statute):

  • $2 for the first page,
  • $0.50 per page for the next 19 pages
  • $0.25 per page thereafter

Certification of the document may be had upon request for an additional $6 charge.

Computer printouts are available for child support / maintenance histories at a fee of $4 per page.
