Domestic Violence Impact Panel
In an effort to advance the message of zero tolerance for domestic violence in our community, the Domestic Violence Unit of McLean County Court Services implements a Domestic Violence Impact Panel (DVIP). The primary goals of the panel are to hold offenders accountable for their choices and demonstrate empathy for the pain and suffering experienced by their survivors.
Convention Schedule
The panel convenes the third Tuesday of February, May, August, and November of each year. It consists of a keynote speaker (representing the community), survivor speakers (individuals whom have had past domestic violence experiences), the Lisa 9-1-1 tape, and concludes with the offenders completing a short survey questionnaire.
