03/17/2023 - McLean County has lifted the Spring Weight Limits for the remainder of the posting season, returning to the Summer Weight restrictions on our County Highways.
Please check with all Township Highway Commissioners and/or Municipalites regarding the weight limits on their roads as not all are lifting their Spring Postings.
Any vehicle that is one or more of the following, needs to have a permit in the vehicle allowing the move.
- Over the Posted Weight Limit
- Over 8’6" in Width
- Over 65’ in Length
- Over 13’6" in Height

During the Spring Posting, if permitted loads are being allowed - up to the Summer Weight Restrictions - on the County Highways, permits may be obtained through Oxcart Permits.
