Per 35 ILCS 200/20-12, a fee of $5.00 will be assessed for each duplicate tax bill that is provided to any mortgage lender who is not the property owner of record. This fee is used to cover the cost of the in-house printing of the tax bill. Payment coupons can be printed from our website and submitted with payment in lieu of the duplicate bill fee.
At the taxpayer's request, a property tax bill can be mailed to the mortgage lender, but the taxpayer is still responsible for payment. Only the taxpayer can change the billing address on the property. Addresses can be changed by filing a Change of Address Form (PDF) with the Supervisor of Assessments office.
